Jackson State Tigers at Central Michigan Chippewas ATS Prediction

The Tigers are trying to rebound after their 65-52 loss to the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in their last contest. One of Louisiana-Monroe’s largest strengths was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 12-15 (80.0 percent), while the Tigers were just 6-8 (75.0 percent). Paris Collins was Jackson State’s leading scorer with 11 points on 3-for-10 shooting.

In the Chippewas’ last game, they edged the Bakersfield Roadrunners, 75-72. The Chippewas had a ridiculous free throw rate of 0.370 (above their season average of 0.248) and had an effective field goal percentage of 0.630 (above their season average of 0.533). With 14 points, Central Michigan’s Luke Meyer had a solid game.

It will be a battle of contrasting tempos as the fast-paced Chippewas will look to push the more methodical Tigers. Dating back to last season, the Chippewas rank seventh in possessions per game while the Tigers are 332nd. Additionally, the Tigers have been among the NCAA’s elite on the offensive backboards, ranking 35th in offensive rebounding percentage (34.5 percent). The Chippewas, meanwhile, rank 285th in defensive rebounding percentage (68.6 percent).
