Golf Odds:  Adam Scott is the world’s top ranked player while Matt Kuchar is ranked fourth. Those two players lead the field for this week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational.  The PGA Tour event in Ft. Worth, Texas also includes Jordan Spieth, Zach Johnson, Jim Furyk, Dustin Johnson and Jimmy Walker.  Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson are the two favorites but there is not much separating the top five golfers as they range in odds from 13-1 to 16-1.  Let’s look at this tournament and golf predictions.

Odds to Win Crowne Plaza Invitational

Matt Kuchar                            13-1

Zach Johnson                 13-1

Jim Furyk                      15-1

Jordan Spieth                16-1

Adam Scott                    16-1

Dustin Johnson              22-1

Graham Delaet               33-1

Jimmy Walker               35-1

Chris Kirk                      35-1

Marc Leishman              40-1

Rickie Fowler                 45-1

Bill Haas                        45-1

Ryan Palmer                  45-1

Jason Dufner                 52-1

Kevin Na                       52-1

John Huh                       52-1

Louis Oosthuizen           52-1

Pat Perez                        52-1

John Senden                            56-1

Boo Weekley                 56-1

Hunter Mahan               60-1

Harris English                65-1

Paul Casey                     65-1

Brandt Snedeker            65-1

Brendon Todd               80-1

Brendon de Jonge          85-1

Bo Van Pelt                             85-1

Rory Sabbatini              85-1

Russell Knox                 85-1

Kevin Chappell              102-1

Field                                 7-5

The defending champion of this event that is held at the Colonial Country Club is Boo Weekley.  He is joined by former champions, Zach Johnson, David Toms, Corey Pavin, Rory Sabbatini, Tim Herron, Keith Clearwater, Olin Browne, Steve Flesch and Rod Curl.

Top Choices

It is hard to ignore the favorite in this one as Matt Kuchar has finished in the top ten in five of his last six starts. He finished second in this tournament a year ago.  You also have to consider Zach Johnson who has won this event twice and finished in the top ten in his last five trips to Colonial.

Golf Predictions

This could be the week that Graham Delaet gets his first win and he is listed at golf odds of 33-1.  Another player getting some action on the odds board is Chris Kirk as his odds have dropped to 35-1.  For my longshot I will go with Ryan Palmer at odds of 45-1.
