Former golf pro Clark Burroughs takes listeners through the first ever “Golf Undigested Podcast,” giving us his analysis and predictions for the tours going on across the golf world. Burroughs starts off the conversation with his thoughts on recent tournament action.

Kevin Kisner won the RSM Classic by six strokes, getting the monkey off his back after an agonizing stretch of runner-up finishes that was making fans question whether or not Kisner could ever get over the hump. The 31-year-old from South Carolina finished second at the WGC-HSBC Champ on Nov. 5 but finally got his first PGA Tour win.

Our host also takes us through the odds for the upcoming Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa where Branden Grace is a heavy favorite to repeat as title holder. Grace won by seven shots last December and remains the leader at the books heading into this week’s edition of the tournament.

Burroughs thinks that native South African Jaco Van Zyl could be a surprise value pick to take the title this year. He then recounts a story when a then-unknown Van Zyl played alongside him in a tournament in Odessa, Texas. Though Van Zyl didn’t have much success that time around, the 29-to-1 odds he has entering the Alfred Dunhill Championship make him a good surprise pick. The South African is listed as a pick ’em against his opening pairing Joost Luiten.

He also thinks handicappers should look out for Paul Dunne in this tournament and beyond, as the young golfer rises up the ranks.
