UFC Selections – UFC 175 Weidman s. Machida / Rousey vs. Davis!

UFC Selections:   The middleweight championship will be on the line Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas as champion Chris Weidman will take on Lyoto Machida and the ladies are also bringing it as women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will take on Alexis Davis with three other bouts on the main card.  Stefan Struve will face Matt Mitrione in the heavyweight division, Uriah Hall will take on Thiago Santos in the middleweight class and Marcus Brimage will matchup against Russell Doane in the bantam weight division.  All of the action can be viewed on pay per view.

Fox Sports 1 Preliminary Card

There will be 4 preliminary bouts televised on Fox Sports 1.  Urijah Faber will take on Alex Caceres in bantamweight action, Kenny Robertson will face Ildemar Alcantara in welterweight action, Chris Camozzi will face Bruno Santos in middleweight action, and George Roop will face Rob Font in another bantamweight bout.

Weidman vs. Machida

Chris “The All American” Machida has a career record of 11 wins and 0 losses.  Machida has a total of 5 knockouts, 3 submissions, and 3 decisions out of his 11 career wins.  He won the UFC middleweight championship in a 2nd round knockout over Anderson Silva and then successfully defended his title in a rematch with Silva in which he scored a TKO win.

Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida has a career record of 21 wins and 4 losses.  Machida has scored 8 knockouts, 2 submissions, and 11 decisions out of his 21 career wins.  Machida has suffered 1 knockout and 1 submission out of his 4 losses.   Machida is coming off a unanimous decision win over Gegard Mousasi.
