Bellator 202 Odds

Bellator 202 Odds – Bellator kicks off a weekend of back to back fights with Bellator 202 live from the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma. The main event sees women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd (11-2) facing the challenge of undefeated Brazilian Talita Nogueira (7-0) over 5 rounds.

Budd is a tough fighter who is riding a solid 9 fight winning streak with Invicta FC and now Bellator. Budd operates in the same weight class as the feared Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and her two career losses come at the hands of Amanda Nunes, the current UFC world champion at bantamweight and Ronda Rousey. Budd fought Nunes and Rousey for a combined total of less than 50 seconds, but she has grown comfortable under the Bellator flag and is entering as a comfortable favorite over Noguiera.

The challenger is talented but she has fought just once under the Bellator flag and she has had a fight cancelled against Marloes Coenen for failing to make weight. Though talented, she has to prove herself on a bigger stage. The weigh-ins are Friday afternoon and that will decide whether her title fight is official or not.

The event’s featured bouts are set to air on the Paramount Network (formerly SpikeTV). Bellator had recently signed a huge deal estimated at ober $100 million dollars with streaming service DAZN, but that deal starts with Bellator’s Spetember 29th offering headlined by Gegard Mousasi versus Rory MacDonald. Check your local listings for start times on Paramount. The sport books continue to list Bellator fights at the last minute, as these lines appeared on one of the major books out there in the last 24 hours. Check below for the odds on the fights expected on the Paramount broadcast.

Bellator has put together a competitive bantamweight bout in the co-feature spot as former divisional champion Eduardo Dantas takes on Michael McDonald. Dantas (20-5) dropped the belt to Darrion Caldwell in his last outing back in October of 2017. Dantas has had two title reigns with th Bellator belt so it is a little strange that he did not warrant a rematch.

McDonald (18-4) is another one of Bellator’s sneaky adds from the UFC roster. McDonald is still just 27 years old and he is coming off a run of nine fights with the UFC that saw him go 6-3. He made his Bellator debut back in December when he defeated Peter Ligier by unanimous decision and a win here should yield him the fast track title shot that other UFC vets have gotten with Bellator.

An interesting middleweight matchup sees wrestler Chris Honeycutt try to bounce back from a loss to Jiu Jitsu stud Rafael Lovato Jr by facing off against another JJ expert in Leo Leite. Leite came to Bellator with a solid 9-0 record but he lost his company debut this past November when he fought Phil Davis as a light heavyweight. Will Honeycutt be able to handle Liete the way Davis did or will Leite be able to implement Lovato’s game plan?
