The San Diego Padres will head east to Marlins Park to face the Miami Marlins. The game gets underway 7:10 p.m. ET and Fox Sports San Diego will be televising this NL showdown.

Vegas has listed San Diego (+120) as the underdog to Miami (-130). Bettors can wager on the game’s total with odds sitting at +100 for over eight runs and -120 for under eight. Bettors can also wager on the game’s spread with the runline odds sitting at Padres +1.5 runs (-175) and Marlins -1.5 runs (+155).

In the other dugout, San Diego’s pitching staff allowed 4.7 runs per game and its starting pitchers own a 5.02 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 8.06 K/9. The bullpen has an ERA of 3.29, along with a WHIP of 1.50.

Padres hitters have slashed .233/.301/.375 on their way to 4.0 runs scored per game this year, including 5.3 runs per game over the team’s last 10 games and 5.8 per game over the team’s last five contests (4-1 SU).

Left fielder Jose Pirela and first baseman Eric Hosmer have paced San Diego’s offense. Pirela is slashing .275/.328/.357 with 67 hits, 19 RBIs and 36 runs scored, while Hosmer is hitting .285/.371/.465 with 65 hits, seven homers, 28 RBIs and 31 runs scored.

The Padres have lost 0.5 units and are 8-12 ATS when facing a left-handed starting pitcher this year. The over’s hit in 13 of those games, compared to seven that’ve gone under against ies.
