Colorado Rockies vs. Atlanta Braves Odds

Vegas has listed Colorado (+120) as the underdog to Atlanta (-130). Bettors can wager on the game’s total with odds sitting at -110 for over 8.5 runs and -110 for under 8.5. The game’s runline odds sit at -175 for taking the Rockies +1.5 runs and +155 for the Braves -1.5 runs.

The Braves are 68-52 straight up (SU) and 63-55 against the spread (ATS). They’ve gained 22.6 units for bettors taking the moneyline and 3.8 units (ATS). Atlanta has covered the spread five times in its last seven games and the total has gone over in four of those seven. The Rockies are 65-56 SU and have gone 62-58 ATS. Kyle Freeland is getting the nod for Colorado. The left-handed Freeland (10-7, 3.02 ERA) has recorded 120 strikeouts in 146 innings so far. He’s 0-1 with five strikeouts and a 4.50 ERA against Atlanta this year.

Third baseman Nolan Arenado and shortstop Trevor Story continue to lead Colorado’s hitters. Arenado is slashing .310/.394/.587 with 30 home runs, 84 RBIs and 79 runs scored, while Story is hitting .289/.346/.547 with 25 homers, 83 RBIs, 61 runs and 16 stolen bases.

The Rockies have gained 7.0 units and are 28-17 ATS when facing a left-handed starting pitcher this season. The over has cashed in 15 of those games, compared to 27 that’ve gone under in such games. On the other hand, the Braves have netted 0.8 units and are 16-20 ATS when facing a left-handed starting pitcher. The over has hit in 18 of those games, as opposed to 17 that’ve cashed the under.
