For a second straight week, my fantasy bat recommendations weren’t as impactful as I would’ve liked. Though five of the six all left the yard at least once, there wasn’t a whole lot more to speak highly of. Gleyber Torres is still an absolute stud and one that should be targeted in all leagues. Michael Conforto is yet to pick back up where he left off before getting injured, but Greg Bird looks to be acclimating himself well to the big league level with a pair of homers and 4 RBI. Here’s six more bats to add to your roster by way of trade or off the waiver wire in Week 10.
OF Brandon Nimmo (New York Mets) – I was on the right track last week when I suggested to add a New York Mets outfielder to your fantasy baseball roster. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong one. Nimmo has been nothing short of a godsend to a Mets lineup that’s been ravaged by injuries. He enters the week batting a cool .286 to go along with an impressive 1.082 OPS. He went yard three times and stole a trio of bases last week. No surprise, he’s the most heavily added player in fantasy baseball this week, yet is still only owned in under 62 percent of ESPN leagues. It’s possible this contact/speed combo is sitting on your wire as you read this. If so, stop reading and get him on your roster – STAT!

2B/OF Ben Zobrist (Chicago Cubs) – You remember Ben Zobrist, right? You know, the guy that won World Series MVP back in 2016! Though he had an off 2017 campaign, much like the entire Cubs roster, the veteran looks to be locked in once again. Over the last week, Zobrist is batting .476 with six of his 10 hits going for extra bases. He plated 8 RBI over that stretch! If in need of a player with multi-position eligibility, you could do a lot worse than adding this proven vet to your fantasy arsenal!
C Yadier Molina (St. Louis Cardinals) – “Yadi” hasn’t stepped into the batter’s box or called a game since May 6. Even so, he still checks out as the No. 14 ranked catcher in all of baseball. That just goes to show just how barren the catcher position is in fantasy these days. Well, he’s set to rejoin the club on Tuesday night and is available in over 25 percent of ESPN leagues. If you’ve been struggling with guys like Chris Ianetta, Jonathan Lucroy or Evan Gattis, do yourself a solid a scoop him up!
OF Matt Kemp (Los Angeles Dodgers) – Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger have been enormous fantasy buts this season when you take their respective ADPs into account. More so the latter. If not for Kemp’s bat pacing the Dodgers offense, Los Angeles would be in worse shape than it already is. The veteran outfielder ripped the cover off the ball last week to the tune of a .400 batting average, 3 HR and 7 RBI. Because of the output, he’s been one of the more heavily added players in the game this week. Still, he’s owned in only 77 percent of ESPN leagues, so he could be hanging out on your wire. If not, look to make a trade. I’d move Bellinger/Taylor for him in an instant if my league mate agreed to the deal!
1B Matt Olson (Oakland A’s) – Olson was a huge target for power in the middle to late rounds of most fantasy drafts. If you couldn’t score Joey Gallo early on, Olson was your man. Unfortunately, it took him some time to get going which forced many of his owners to case him off to the waiver wire. Boy are they regretting making that move now with Olson finally hitting like he did at the tail end of 2017. Over his last four games, he’s batting nearly .600 with 4 HR and 9 RBI batting in the meat of Oakland’s batting order. He’s also cut down his K rate making adding him to your roster by any means possible all the more attractive.
1B Mitch Moreland (Boston Red Sox) – Paul Goldschmidt, Cody Bellinger, Rhys Hoskins. Those three players were all selected in the first five to six rounds of most fantasy baseball drafts. None of them can hold a candle to what Moreland has done in limited at-bats this season. Now that Hanley Ramirez was issued his walking papers, more regular at-bats look to be on the horizon for the veteran first baseman. Moreland enters the week ranked as the No. 10 player at the position, and he’s batting in the heart of a potent lineup. At just under 58 percent owned in ESPN leagues, pick him up and make your league mates look foolish for avoiding his services to this point.
