The PGA Tour will make its way to Memphis, Tennessee for the FedEx St. Jude Classic this week. For the 30th consecutive renewal, TPC Southwind will serve as the host course. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Henrik Stenson will headline this year’s tournament along with two-time defending champion Daniel Berger, who will look to successfully defend his title once again. We broke down the field for this week’s tournament to come up with a list of the top favorites and sleepers that might be worth sprinkling some money on from a betting perspective. Here is a look at the best bets for the FedEx St. Jude Classic this week. Odds are courtesy of BetDSI.

Event Details

Event: FedEx St. Jude Classic

Category: PGA

Date: June 7th-10th

Location: TPC Southwind, Memphis, Tennessee

NFC East, Coach Rankings, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys

Past Five Winners

2017: Daniel Berger -10

2016: Daniel Berger -13

2015: Fabian Gomez -13

2014: Ben Crane -10

2013: Harris English -12

Dustin Johnson +550

It’s no surprise to see D.J. at the top of an impressive field of contenders that will compete here this week. The 2012 FedEx St. Jude Classic winner finished fifth here last year and has all of the tools to contend here once again this year. Johnson recently lost his top spot in the world rankings to Justin Thomas so that should serve as added motivation this week. His skill set and course form indicate D.J. could be in for a big performance this week.

Brooks Koepka +700

Koepka has looked outstanding since a missed cut at the Zurich Classic following his return from wrist surgery. He is coming off an 11th place finish at Sawgrass and a runner-up finish in the Fort Werth Invitational in his last two outings overall. There is no reason to expect him to slow down at a tournament in which his form figures here read 19-3-2-37. At +700 odds, Koepka is available at a decent price and he is a legitimate threat to win this week.

Henrik Stenson +1200

Stenson has done an excellent job putting on the same Bermuda greens that he will have to deal with this week at TPC Southwind. Factor in that he has been finding fairways and greens with ease over the past couple of months and it’s clear he has the tools to contend for the outright win this week. The 2016 Open champion is somewhat overlooked but might not fly under the radar for much longer if he delivers a strong opening round on Thursday.

Phil Mickelson +1400

It’s no secret that Mickelson loves this course with five straight finishes in the top-11 including a pair of runner-up results. Mickelson has played at a high level of late so the fact that he has had success here before could be an indication of things to come. He isn’t listed among the favorites. That said, the +1400 price tag could make Mickelson a sneaky good value option.

Tony Finau +1800

Finau has shown flashes of his immense potential over the past couple of months including a pair of top-10 finishes. Does he have what it takes to make a run at TPC Southwind this week? He’s coming off a 13th-place finish at the Memorial and could carry over the confidence and momentum from a 67 in the final round of that tournament. At +1800 odds, Finau is certainly an intriguing option to contend in the FedEx St. Jude Classic.

Charl Schwartzel +2200

Schwartzel was absolutely rolling before missing the cut at the Memorial in his last start. Before that, he had registered three straight top-10 finishes including a third-place finish in the Zurich Classic and a runner-up finish in THE PLAYERS Championship. The odds are that last week’s stumble was only that and he should bounce back with a strong performance this week. Schwartzel is another intriguing sports betting option available at decent odds.

Daniel Berger +2200

It’s definitely strange to see the two-time defending tournament champion listed at +2200 odds this week but that makes him a valuable option. After all, Berger won this tournament in 2016 with a 13-under score and then doubled down by hitting 10-under in his successful title defense a year ago. At favorable odds, it might be worth it to take a chance on Berger to deliver some more magic at TPC Southwind and contend for the outright win once again this week.

Luke List +3500

Looking beyond the betting favorites, List is an intriguing sleeper pick at +3500 odds to win outright. This year’s Honda Classic runner-up added a top-10 finish at Wells Fargo and has played some of his best golf overall in the Southern States. List is fourth in Strokes Gained: Off The Tee and 15th in Strokes Gained: Around-The-Green this season so there is plenty of reason for intrigue. If you are looking at potential sleeper options, List certainly fits the bill for this week’s FedEx St. Jude Classic.
