The Web.com Tour rolls on this week with the Rex Hospital Open. This event is played at the TPC Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, North Carolina. Last week’s event in Nashville was won by Cameron Davis, his first win of the season. Odds are courtesy of BetDSI.

Event Details

Event: Rex Hospital Open

Category: Web.com

Date: May 31st – June 3rd, 2018

Location: TPC Wakefield Plantation, Raleigh, North Carolina

Past Five Winners

2017: Conrad Shindler -15

2016: Trey Mullinax -14

2015: Kyle Thompson -17

2014: Byron Smith -16

2013: Chesson Hadley -19

The Favorites

Sungjae Im (+1800): Who else would it be? The Web.com Tour’s money leader is coming off a T-21 finish in Nashville. Im has been sharp from tee to green this season and has a win or two left in him for 2018. If he could marginally improve on his 18th-ranked putting average, Im would have multiple wins this season.

Maverick McNealy (+2000): McNealy has been off since a T-3 in Knoxville three weeks ago. He can get hot in a hurry, ranking first on the Web.com Tour in birdie average. That is all you need to do sometimes.

Next In Line

Joseph Bramlett (+2200): Bramlett’s last start resulted in a T-4 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am. He is 17th in driving distance, 20th in accuracy and first in greens-in-regulation. However, he lives and dies by his putter and Bramlett is 119th in that category this season. If he’s on, he could be a good bet in this spot.

Robby Shelton (+2500): Shelton followed up a T-2 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am with a T-7 in Nashville. If he could dial in his iron play, things would go much more smooth. Shelton is 100th on the Web.com Tour in greens-in-regulation. He would have many more birdie opportunities if he were closer to the hole.

Kyoung-Hoon Lee (+2800): Lee missed the cut in Nashville, the second time in five starts that he has done so. However, in the three other starts in that time, he has racked up a pair of T-2s and a T-3. Lee is still second on the Web.com Tour’s money list. He also finished T-3 in this event in 2017. He could be a good sleeper to finish near the top of the leader board.

Sleeper Picks

Stephan Jaeger (+4500): Jaeger won in Knoxville three weeks ago with a fantastic weekend, shooting a pair of 64s. He is ready to go every time he tees it up on the Web.com Tour. He has played on the PGA Tour a few times this season, and he should consider sticking to the Web.com Tour, where he has much more success. Jaegar turns 29 on May 30th, so maybe he’ll get some good birthday vibes in Raleigh.

Kyle Thompson (+6000): Thompson has made two Web.com Tour starts this season. He finished T-59 in Savannah and T062 in Knoxville. But you can’t leave a player that has won an event three times off the list. Thompson won here back in 2007, 2011 and again in 2015. He seems to really like this course and that might be the spark to his 2018 season. He finished T-52 here last year.
