In this latest podcast, he is joined by boxing analyst Ray Flores. Flores can be seen on ESPN and ESPN Chicago, and he is the ring announcer for the Premier Boxing Champions. He has been around combat sports for more than ten years, and he has been present at many of the biggest fights in recent boxing history. Flores has joined the Talk ‘n’ Shoot Podcast before and his work can also be seen on The Boxing Channel.

Talk ‘n’ Shoot Podcast Welterweight Boxing Review
Last week’s PBC event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was headlined by a pair of welterweight fights that featured highly ranked talent. The fights aired on FOX, and those that watched got to see undefeated Danny Garcia (31-0) facing Robert Guerrero (33-3-1) go twelve rounds for the vacant WBC World Welterweight title. In the end, Garcia won a unanimous decision to stay perfect. Most people saw the fight, but Ray Flores was ther ein the front row, so a lot of good insight from live at the fights dished out by Ray.
But did Garcia impress? Who will he fight in his next outing? What is next for Guerrero?
The Welterweight division is stacked, and perhaps the biggest fight out there right now is the upcoming April 9th trilogy-closing fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley. The two men are 1-1 against each other, however there was not a wide call for this fight to take place. Pacquiao, the legend, is returning for what may or may not be his last fight, and rather than take on a Terence Crawford or someone up and coming, he will be facing Bradley again. Though Bradley is one of the top fighters in the weight class today, most observers feel he lost to Pacquiao both times. Bradley is now training with Teddy Atlas and feels he is a different fighter, and Pacquiao himself states he sees Bradley as improved and as a major challenge.
March 12th sees the PBC airing on CBS with a welterweight main event featuring Keith Thurman (26-0) and Shawn Porter (26-1-1). Porter is a former world champion whose only loss saw him lose his IBF title to England’s Kell Brook. He has bounced back with two solid wins since, and he now faces Thurman for his WBA version of the Welterweight world title.
The British contigent of Amir Khan and Kell Brook (35-0) are also discussed, as neither man has a big following outside of England but both are in line for big fights. Brook is facing Kevin Bizier (25-2) this coming March 26th. Khan, as usual, is doing a great deal of talking about fighting but he is doing very little actual fighting, and he is not currently on the schedule to face anybody.
The Staples Center show on January 23rd also featured the coming out party of we,terweight Sammy “The Who Can Mexican” Vasquez, who defeated Aaron Martinez. The fight saw Vasquez probably make the jump form up and comer to contender, as he is now an undefeated (21-0). Who could he fight next?
