Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix recently discussed how he approaches criticism as the team continues to work through offensive struggles this season. In a media session, Nix explained that he opts to disconnect from online commentary in order to maintain focus on his development and responsibilities under center.

“For me it’s quite simple, I delete my social media,” Nix said. “Unless somebody says it to my face, I don’t really hear it—and nobody is ever bold enough to say it to your face.”

The Broncos have encountered difficulties moving the ball consistently this season, placing additional scrutiny on the former Oregon quarterback, who was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Nix’s response underscores a broader trend among professional athletes who are choosing to limit their exposure to online platforms in an effort to protect mental well-being and concentrate on performance.

Head coach Sean Payton and the Broncos’ offensive staff face ongoing challenges in finding rhythm and production, especially in a division that features experienced quarterbacks and strong defensive units. While the coaching staff continues to refine the game plan, Nix is focusing on learning the playbook, adjusting to NFL defenses, and building chemistry with his receivers.

Though rookie quarterbacks often face a steep learning curve, Nix has so far demonstrated poise in his public comments and remains committed to improving each week. The Broncos organization has voiced support for his development, acknowledging the importance of patience in integrating a young quarterback into a starting role.

Nix’s decision to limit distractions off the field highlights a personal approach to leadership and resilience. As the season progresses, he will continue to be evaluated on both his execution and his ability to adapt under pressure. For now, Nix is taking a steady approach, focused on growth and blocking out external opinions that do not contribute to the team’s goals.

The Broncos will look to turn things around offensively as they prepare for the second half of the season, with Nix remaining a central figure in that effort.
