MLB bets: As has been the case for the past two seasons the Oakland A’s have been one of the best values on the MLB betting board and the top team in the American League West Division. The New York Yankees may have the big name and bigger payroll but their board value has not been strong, especially at home where they have been operating in red ink with the baseball betting lines. The New York Yankees will host the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium with a telecast on ESPN2 starting at 7:05 PM ET. The probable starting pitchers are right hander Jesse Chavez for the A’s and left hander Val Nuno for the Yankees.

Oakland definitely in the Green and Gold!

The Oakland Athletics were the 4th most profitable team on the board for MLB bets and were also one of the top betting values on the road and with the run line. Oakland was 18-10 in road games and ranked best in MLB for both run production and staff earned run average.

Yankees Not so Dandy

The New York Yankees were just 12-12 at home and as a consistent favorite on the board for MLB bets that has made for bad losses on the board. The mediocre look from last year’s Yankee team has carried over so far this season as the pitching staff ranked just 15th for earned run average and 21st for quality starts. The Yankees trailed the Toronto Blue Jays for first place in the American League East which was quite a tell to bettors.

The Pick

Oakland will get a better price as the road team at Yankee Stadium and is the proven commodity and value!
