WNBA Odds: The Minnesota Lynx begin the 2014 WNBA regular season as the defending champions and the favorites to win the title again. They have virtually the same team that dominated a year ago and they are the 7-5 favorite to win the WNBA title this season. The top contenders to challenge the Minnesota Lynx this season are the Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky and Phoenix Mercury.

Here is a look at each of the top contenders and WNBA predictions.

Minnesota Lynx
The defending champs are loaded with a great starting lineup led by Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus. Unless this team suffers a major injury they should win the title again in 2014.

Los Angeles Sparks
They still have Candace Parker who is one of the top players in the league and now they also have Candice Wiggins and Sandrine Gruda. They are not as good as the Minnesota Lynx but they could be second best.

Chicago Sky
This team has Elena Delle Donne so you know they are going to be good. They will miss Sylvia Fowles who is out to start the season due to injury.

Phoenix Mercury
This team was an official flop last season as they were expected to win the title but failed. They have Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi but they may be overrated again.

Everyone Else
Of the rest of the teams the Atlanta Dream look to be the most dangerous. They have Angel McCoughtry and they added Swin Cash and Celine Dumerc. Other teams worth looking at include the Seattle Storm with a healthy Sue Bird and the Connecticut Sun with rookie Chiney Ogwumike out of Stanford. Not to be left out are the Indiana Fever who won the title in 2012. They still have Tamika Catchings and a lot of other veteran players like Shavonte Zellous, Erlana Larkins, and Briann January. It will also be interesting to watch the New York Liberty as they will play in Madison Square Garden this year and they have Tina Charles and Cappie Pondexter.
