UAPB Golden Lions vs. Santa Clara Broncos Betting Prediction

In the Golden Lions’ last outing, they were blown out by the Canisius Golden Griffins, 81-58. Canisius’ 59.1 offensive rebounding percentage was their biggest advantage over UAPB, who had a mark of 23.7. The Golden Griffins’ mark was above their season average of 26.5, while the Golden Lions’ was below the 33.9 mark opponents have averaged against Canisius this season. Martaveous McKnight was the top scorer from either team with 20 points on 8-for-14 shooting.

The Broncos had no trouble getting past the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in their last outing, 89-57. The Broncos, who came into the game averaging an effective field goal percentage of 0.521, had an absurd mark of 0.686, while the Lumberjacks had a turnover percentage of 26.0 (above their season average of 21.4). With 13 points and five assists, Santa Clara’s Henry Caruso had a good outing.

Ball protection could play a significant role in this matchup. Since the 2016-17 season, Santa Clara has committed the 22nd-fewest miscues in the nation (turnover percentage of 16.2 percent), while the ball-hawking defense of UAPB has forced the eighth-most (opponents’ turnover percentage of 24.1 percent).
