The Over/Under (O/U) for the game opened at 132.5 points with Miami set as a 14.5-point favorite.

Princeton Tigers vs. Miami Hurricanes Betting Prediction

In the Tigers’ last matchup, they were topped by the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 85-76. Lehigh made seven of their 16 three pointers (43.8 percent). Princeton, meanwhile, was 7-24 (29.2 percent). Devin Cannady was the game’s high scorer with 27 points on 8-for-17 shooting.

The Hurricanes were victorious over the No. 12 Minnesota Golden Gophers in their last matchup, 86-81. Miami’s turnover percentage was their biggest advantage over Minnesota. The Hurricanes had a rate of 9.8 (better than their season average of 15.0), while the Golden Gophers posted a mark of 13.9. With 16 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Miami’s Bruce Brown played well.

Points could be at a premium as two of the NCAA’s premier defenses clash. Dating back to the 2016-17 season, Miami ranks 47th in defensive efficiency (97.6) and Princeton is 46th (97.4). Moreover, the Tigers rank 345th in free throw attempt (FTA) rate (0.185), while the Hurricanes rank 46th in opponents’ FTA rate (0.203).

Princeton heads into the contest with records of 2-4 straight up (SU) and 0-3 against the spread (ATS). Vegas has a tendency to set the total high when the Tigers are involved, as 66.7 percent of their games have gone under the projected point total.

Meanwhile, Miami is 5-0 SU and 1-0-1 ATS. There does not appear to be a trend for Hurricanes games in regards to the O/U total, as there has been an even split between games finishing over and under.
