The Los Angeles Lakers are expecting to have a fully healthy roster when they face the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, with Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton all anticipated to be available. It marks a rare moment in recent memory in which the team projects to enter a game without any of its key contributors listed as out due to injury.

Doncic, one of the league’s premier playmakers and offensive focal points, is expected to be in the lineup. His presence gives the Lakers a high-usage ball handler capable of initiating the offense, creating shots off the dribble and orchestrating pick-and-roll actions. A healthy Doncic typically alters the opposing defensive game plan, often drawing double teams and heavy attention on the perimeter.

Reaves is also expected to be available, providing versatility on the wing. Known for his secondary playmaking, floor spacing and willingness to defend multiple positions, Reaves adds balance to the rotation. His ability to handle the ball, make connective passes and hit timely shots helps stabilize the offense when primary creators are pressured or off the floor.

Ayton is anticipated to be ready in the frontcourt, giving the Lakers a traditional interior presence. His work around the basket as a finisher, rebounder and rim protector shapes the team’s approach on both ends. With Ayton available, the Lakers can lean more on paint touches, screen actions involving a true center and a more structured interior defensive setup anchored by his size.

Collectively, the expectation that Doncic, Reaves and Ayton will all be in uniform offers the Lakers a chance to field the kind of complete rotation that has been difficult to sustain because of prior health issues. Having primary creation on the perimeter, complementary wing play and a dependable starting-caliber center allows the coaching staff to assemble more consistent lineups and experiment with combinations that maximize spacing, ball movement and defensive matchups.

Against the Clippers, who traditionally feature a physical, veteran roster, the Lakers’ anticipated full health creates an opportunity to test their preferred rotations and roles under more stable conditions. With Doncic guiding the offense, Reaves supporting on the perimeter and Ayton anchoring the interior, the team enters Friday’s matchup with an unusually clean bill of health and a clearer picture of what its core group can look like when all principal players are available.
