Letang donates check to a young patient

After meeting his idol, Kris Letang, in September, during Letang’s visit at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Ian Rosenbaum, who was diagnosed with a form of T-cell leukemia, asked his favored player for a stick. In addition to a stick, Letang wrote a check for $58,000 to cover Rosenbaum’s medical expenses.

No matter the age, hockey players stick together.

Anaheim’s Troy Terry will miss 8-12 weeks

Anaheim Ducks’ center Troy Terry suffered a non-displaced fracture during his attempt to block a shot in a 6-1 defeat to the Calgary Flames. The team announced that Terry will miss 8-12 weeks.

Kopitar reaches 1,000 games milestone

Los Angeles Kings center and two-time Stanley Cup winner, Anze Kopitar, entered the 1,000 games club after playing his 1,000th game in a 7-2 loss to the Western Conference leading Calgary Flames. The four-time All-Star spent his entire career in Los Angeles and so far this season, he recorded 21 goals and 37 assists in 78 games. The NHL congratulated the Slovenian on his milestone.
