{"id":1637,"date":"2014-06-04T16:08:37","date_gmt":"2014-06-04T16:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.getmoresports.com\/?p=1637"},"modified":"2014-06-04T16:08:37","modified_gmt":"2014-06-04T16:08:37","slug":"pga-odds-dustin-johnson-favored-win-fedex-st-jude-classic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.getmoresports.com\/pga-odds-dustin-johnson-favored-win-fedex-st-jude-classic\/","title":{"rendered":"PGA Odds \u2013 Dustin Johnson Favored to Win FedEx St. Jude Classic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PGA Odds<\/strong>:\u00a0 Most of the world\u2019s top golfers are taking this week off to prepare for next week\u2019s U.S. Open but six of the world\u2019s top 25 are in the field for this week\u2019s FedEx St. Jude Classic including Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson.\u00a0 Johnson is a slight favorite to win with Mickelson the second choice.\u00a0 Here is a look at the FedEx St. Jude Classic and PGA predictions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S.<\/strong><strong> Open Prep<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The FedEx St. Jude Classic is the last event before next week\u2019s U.S. Open.\u00a0 Most of the world\u2019s top golfers are skipping this event but some will be in the field because they need to improve their games.\u00a0 Johnson is the favorite which makes sense considering he won this event in 2012 and was 10<sup>th<\/sup> last year.\u00a0 Mickelson needs the work based on how he has played recently and it appears that Matt Kuchar is going to be a last minute addition to the field. He badly needs this tournament as he didn\u2019t even make the cut at Colonial last week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tough Course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TPC Southwind in Memphis was the third hardest par 70 on the PGA Tour a year ago.\u00a0 The fairways are not that wide and the greens are small.\u00a0 The winds could be a major problem this weekend so the scores might be even higher than normal.\u00a0 Rain could also be an issue in Memphis this week which will make the course unpredictable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Top Contenders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Johnson has six top 15 finishes this year and he is a logical choice considering he won this event in 2012.\u00a0 Mickelson is a big name but he has not played well for most of this season.\u00a0 Westwood is another big name but he rarely wins.\u00a0 Kuchar would be a good choice if he figures out what went wrong last week.
