When you look at the overall numbers for Liriano you might be tempted to bet against the Pittsburgh Pirates but even though Liriano is 0-3 overall, the Pittsburgh Pirates have won his last five starts.  The Pittsburgh Pirates are favored on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at the matchup and baseball picks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Francisco Liriano<\/strong><br \/>\nThe overall numbers for Liriano are not that good as he is 0-3 with a 4.25 ERA but he has received five straight no-decisions and the Pittsburgh Pirates won all five of those games.  Sometimes a team just wins when a certain pitcher is on the mound and that has been the case with Liriano of late even though the wins don\u2019t show on his personal win\/loss record. He has thrown over 36 innings in his career against the Baltimore Orioles and has a 2-3 record and a 4.21 ERA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overall Numbers for Baltimore Orioles are Weak<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Baltimore Orioles have been above .500 and in the lead or near the lead in the American League East this season. How they are doing it is a mystery as their overall numbers are weak. They are below average in hitting and in team ERA. They were averaging just over four runs per game but they were allowing over four runs per contest. Somehow they were finding ways to win games.  Getting Chris Davis back in the lineup should help but they are now without Matt Wieters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Game Notes<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Baltimore Orioles have taken 7 of the last 10 in this series with six of the last eight going over.
