The Minnesota Twins should be a small home favorite in this contest.  Both teams are around the .500 mark this season but neither appears to be a contender in their respective divisions.  The Minnesota Twins have not been winning enough at home this season but they have taken three of the last five at home against the Seattle Mariners.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at the matchup and baseball picks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Probable Pitching Matchup \u2013 Elias vs. Deduno<\/strong><br \/>\nRoenis Elias comes into this game at 3-2 with a 3.50 ERA. He allowed five runs and nine hits in his last start and was fortunate to get a no-decision as the offense got him off the hook for a loss. He is 2-0 in his last three starts with a 3.44 ERA.  The Seattle Mariners are counting heavily on Elias doing well in the middle of the rotation and so far the results are mixed.<\/p>\n<p>Samuel Deduno is 0-2 on the season with a 3.64 ERA. The Minnesota Twins finally woke up and decided to put Deduno in the rotation and he looked good last time out against the Detroit Tigers. He went six innings and gave up three runs on six hits.  Deduno still doesn\u2019t pitch deep into games since he is getting used to the starter role so the bullpen will be a factor on Saturday night. Deduno has done very well against the Seattle Mariners in his career with a 2-1 record and a 0.90 ERA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Series Trends<\/strong><br \/>\nBefore this series began the teams had split their last ten meetings overall with two of the last three going under.  Four of the last seven in Minnesota had gone under the total.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baseball Picks<\/strong><br \/>\nThis has the potential to be a really good pitching matchup between two young starters.
