The 2023 NBA playoffs are heating up, and basketball fans are eagerly anticipating a thrilling doubleheader set to take place on Tuesday, May 9th. The Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers will face off in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal matchup, with the series currently tied at 2-2.

The Boston Celtics will have the home court advantage at TD Garden in Boston, where they are listed as the 7.5-point favorites according to Caesars Sportsbook. The over/under, or the total number of points that Vegas thinks will be scored, is 213.5.

SportsLine’s advanced computer model is providing NBA playoff predictions and betting advice, which basketball enthusiasts are eager to follow before placing their bets. While the 76ers have a formidable duo in James Harden and Joel Embiid, who combined for 76 points in Game 4, Boston has been dominating on the offensive end, with the best offense in the 2023 NBA playoffs so far.

In fact, the Celtics have scored an impressive 120.6 points per 100 possessions in the postseason, which is the highest among all teams. In the first four games of their series against the 76ers, that number improves to 123.7 points per 100 possessions. Boston is also leading the playoffs with a 62.1% true shooting mark, including 50.3% from the field and 39.5% from 3-point range.

In addition to their impressive shooting, the Celtics have been excelling in terms of assists and turnovers. They have been leading the postseason with 2.18 assists for every turnover, and in the series against the 76ers, that number is even higher at 2.27 assists for every giveaway.

However, the 76ers are not to be underestimated, especially with the possibility of Joel Embiid returning to the court. Despite missing Game 1 due to injury, Embiid played in the last three games and has been listed as questionable for Game 5. James Harden has also been impressive, scoring 42 points and generating nine assists in Game 4, and leading the NBA with 10.7 assists per game during the regular season.

As the playoffs continue to ramp up in intensity, it remains to be seen which team will come out on top in this highly-anticipated matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers. Basketball fans can tune in to the game at 7:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday to find out.
